# Overview

> LB Pay Cross-Border Payouts lets a money services business (MSB) in the United States send remittances in USD. The recipient receives BRL via Pix, usually within minutes. FX is contracted for each remittance, at the spot rate. LB Pay orchestrates the quote, FX, funding, Pix, reconciliation and settlement.

This guide explains the rules of the product for operations and payments teams at the MSB: how a remittance is priced, created, funded and paid, what each status means and what your team needs to do in each case. It is the reference to read before and during integration.

> [card] Pix in minutes
>
> The beneficiary receives BRL in their Brazilian account through Pix, available 24/7.

> [card] Funding by credit
>
> Send remittances against a credit line, or use a prefunded balance. The remittance price is the same in both; the advance cost follows your agreement.

> [card] One integration
>
> A single API and portal cover quote, FX, funding, payout, reconciliation and settlement.

> [card] End-to-end visibility
>
> Every remittance shows its overall status and the status of FX, funding, payout and settlement separately.

## Scope of version 1

* Currencies: USD → BRL. Payout via Pix.
* FX is contracted per remittance (SPOT). Rate reservation for batches is not part of v1.
* A remittance is created only by a withdrawal, which uses a quote. Remittances have a type; v1 has one type: `WITHDRAWAL`.
* Changing the payment instruction after a failed payout is handled by an operational procedure, not by the API.

> [!NOTE]
>
> Payment in minutes depends on available funding, compliance approval, pricing availability and Pix confirmation. It is not guaranteed when any of these conditions is not met.
